Laura Zeni was born in Milan in 1962
After graduating from the Istituto Superiore di Arte, she achieved her MA at the prestigious Brera Academy in Milan.
Zeni starts her career pursuing simultaneously two distinct artistic branches, illustration and graphic design, and painting. Those two elements merge and intertwine in her artistic path to create her unique and characteristic language.
From the very beginning Laura takes part in numerous Group and Solo show in Italy while working at first as illustrator and graphic designer for the established Italian publisher company De Agostini and later on as designer for renowned fabric companies.
In 2004 Zeni creates Will: an innovative contemporary jewel made with gemstones.
More than a jewel, Will comes to life shortly after, as the leading character of the illustrated book :”Il Mondo di Will”.
Influenced by the Milan fashion industry Laura very artistic inspiration leads to the design of paper jewellery showcased in the exhibition “Omaggio a …”
In 2008 she is present with Jannelli and Volpi at Fuori Salone of Salone del mobile furniture fair in Milan.
In 2012 Zeni presents at Superstudiopiú her solo show curated by the prestigious Italian curator Fortunato D’Amico.
In 2013 she is involved in a number of artistic projects that see her presence in solo and collective shows, starting with an exhibition at Spazio Tadini in Milan and a collective show at MACS - Mazda Contemporary Space, followed by the attendance to Fuori Salone Del Mobile at Super Studio 13 and at AAM, located in the headquarter of the internationally renowned journal “Sole24Ore”. In 2013 Laura also presents a solo show in Alba and participates to Spoleto International Art Fair 2013.
The following year opens with a solo show at Palazzo Comunale di Cremona and continues with the participation at Artefiera Cremona under the patronage of Galleria Scoglio di Quarto.
Again at Superstudiopiú for the event Double Room during the Milan Design week 2014 and at “Temporary Museum for new Design”, she pursues her career with the pivotal solo exhibition curated by the prestigious curator Fortunato D’Amico at the prominent artistic event “Triennale di Milano”.
Follow the partecipations to the collective shows at Fortezza del Priamàr di Savona, “International Festival Art Expo Spoleto 2014” and at Spazio Tadini in Milan
In 2015 Zeni is the first artist to exhibit her artworks in a solo show at Eataly Smeraldo by Oscar Farinetti in Milan and continues her stunning program of solo shows at DAI Studio in Rome and at Spazio Tadini in Milan.
