Collaborations

Since 2010, ArtMoorHouse has curated exhibitions and live programmes inside working buildings — developing each one with the people who manage and inhabit them, and in response to the character of the architecture.

A collaboration usually begins with a building and a question: what might this space hold, and for whom? From there we work closely with building management teams to shape a programme that brings shared spaces to life and gives the working day a moment of pause.

How we work with a building

A yearly theme. Each year a single curatorial theme guides the programme. Where a collaboration runs for a full year, we can shape it together with the building, so that it reflects both the values of the place and the contemporary cultural scene.

Exhibitions conceived for the space. Proposals are developed for receptions, lobbies and other shared areas, then installed with the building team. Each exhibition is accompanied by printed material for visitors and occupiers.

Art, design, craft and music. Alongside exhibitions, ArtMoorHouse curates live programmes — including a series of piano performances on the grand piano in the reception of Moor House.
