Projects

Corporate art programmes, exhibitions and cultural projects extending ArtMoorHouse’s curatorial practice across London, Switzerland and beyond, including programmes on art, mental health and wellbeing.

The practice began inside a single building, Moor House, on the edge of the City of London. ArtMoorHouse Projects carries it into other spaces: workplaces where people pass their days, clinics where people recover, buildings whose walls might do a little more.

Each Project starts with the same question: what does this room want to live with for a while? The answer is found in conversation with the building, the people who occupy it, and the year's curatorial theme. The work that follows is neither decoration nor amenity. It is a quieter form of attention — a way of saying that the spaces in which we spend our hours deserve to be looked after, culturally as much as architecturally.

The Weight of What Can't Be Seen (Le Poids de l'invisible)

The Weight of What Can't Be Seen, Clinique La Métairie, 2026
The Weight of What Can't Be Seen, Clinique La Métairie, 2026

Curated by Elisa Martinelli for ArtMoorHouse Projects, in collaboration with the management of Clinique La Métairie
Photographs and words by Elyzar Flores
Clinique La Métairie, Avenue de Bois-Bougy 8, Nyon · 11 September – 25 October 2026 (extended)

Look at the person next to you. You see a face, a posture, a way of moving through a room. You see what is visible. What remains unseen is another matter entirely.

Created during a month-long stay for care at Clinique La Métairie, Elyzar Flores's photographs explore the often invisible relationship between inner experience and outward appearance. Thirteen photographs are installed along the corridor gallery of the clinic's nineteenth-century building, each paired with an NFC tag that unlocks a short poem, soundscape or piece of music — another point of contact between the inner and the outer. The exhibition was organised as part of Mental Health Month in the Canton of Vaud (Mois de la santé mentale).

The work does not attempt to explain or resolve. It invites us to look again — not for answers, but for recognition, and perhaps for the particular kind of relief that comes from feeling, even briefly, less alone.

In Switzerland

SOLITUDE(S) — 12 September – 12 October 2025

A photo-mediation exhibition presented as part of Mental Health Month in the Canton of Vaud, and the first ArtMoorHouse exhibition outside the United Kingdom. The project was initiated by GianPaolo Benedetti, then Head of Psychologists at Clinique La Métairie, who invited ArtMoorHouse to curate it.

Members of FOCALE, the photography association based in Nyon, created new works on the theme of solitude, and patients taking part in the clinic’s photo-mediation groups responded to them in their own words. The exhibition placed this shared authorship at its heart. Through short audio readings beside each photograph, visitors heard the patients’ reflections alongside their own way of seeing — and might come to realise that there is no fundamental difference at all, only infinite ways of perceiving.

This collaboration has become the seed of a longer enquiry — into the place of contemporary art inside healthcare, mental health and wellbeing environments — that ArtMoorHouse continues to develop, in Switzerland and beyond.

In London

The St. Botolph Building

138 Houndsditch, London EC3A 7DH.

Recent shows have included Nicola Anthony and James Alec Hardy under Colour and Other Vibrations (2024), In Time under the Time theme (2025), and, in 2026, The Grammar of Shapes: Between Shapes with Olly Fathers and Stephen Jaques. The St. Botolph relationship grew out of an earlier moment in 2022, when Spaces in Spaces in Spaces by James Alec Hardy was presented across both Moor House and St. Botolph, and a longer dialogue began.

Angel Court

A landmark City of London building. ArtMoorHouse Projects has developed work for Angel Court in dialogue with its architecture and its community.

One Carter Lane

A working office near St. Paul's. Exhibitions here inhabit the everyday paths of the people who work in the building — corridors, lobbies, walls that change with the rhythm of the year.

Cannon Place

78 Cannon Street, EC4N. From 2018 a programme of large-scale, often site-specific work visible from the street — among them James Alec Hardy's video and LED installation Xoniuqequinox 180320, Fiona Grady and Stephen Jaques in Imagination 2 — Shapes, Mark McClure's Pattern Recognition and Owen Bullett's sculpture Bipole.

One St Peter's Square, Manchester

In 2019, Distraction brought works by Dominic Beattie and Stephen Jaques to Manchester — the programme's first venue outside London.

Working together

ArtMoorHouse Projects brings the same curatorial practice to buildings that are not, in the first instance, art spaces: offices, lobbies, clinics, the daily-life architectures of work and care. Our corporate art programmes for workplaces sit alongside our art, mental health and wellbeing projects, and the same yearly theme guides every project, with the same attention brought to each room.
